Captain America v. Superman

What really is the difference between these two super heroes; they both are nationalistic (Patriotic)  and both are huge public icons.  I’m not going to talk about how Captain America is more realistic than Superman is but, I do want to talk about who they serve. At first glance it would appear that they both serve America when in reality one of them doesn’t. Superman serves the US government whether they are corrupt or not.  He does what the president  says; and if the president is Lex  Luthor then he follows Lex Luthor. Captain America serves the American people even if it goes against the government. If “Cap” feels that the government is corrupt or its laws are oppressive then he will fight against them. I think that this is why “Cap” is more liked with more mature readers and Superman is not. Just my thoughts.
